‘ChriSMiles’ brings Christmas treats to two Bulacan orphanages

Ramon Efren Lazaro - The Philippine Star

BALIUAG CITY, Bulacan, Philippines — The employee-volunteer program “ChriSMiles” of SM malls brought the spirit of Christmas to two orphanage houses in Bulacan.

SM City Marilao employees hosted and treated orphaned children at Tahanan Mapagkalinga ni Madre Rita, Guiguinto town.

The employees of SM City Baliwag and SM Center Pulilan also cheered up the orphaned children at Bethlehem House of Bread in Baliuag City.

The ChriSMiles program was initiated in 2012 by the SM malls’ HR department to embody the essence of the Yuletide season by encouraging staff members to share their blessings with children in need. It encourages all SM employees to be more appreciative of their individual blessings by sharing and caring.

Volunteers shared their time-offs from work by spreading love and joy through fun games and the distribution of toys, food, cleaning materials and the “SM Bears of Joy” to less fortunate children.
