MANILA, Philippines — Twenty-seven people were accosted in Barangay Bignay, Valenzuela for violating traffic laws and city ordinances.

City police chief Col. Salvador Destura Jr. supervised simultaneous anti-crime law enforcement operations to maintain peace and
order in Valenzuela ahead of the Christmas festivities tomorrow.

Seventeen people were given ordinance violation receipts for disregarding traffic laws.

Destura said nine people were accosted for violating curfew hours and one for smoking in a public place.

The local police have yet to release a report of their operations in other barangays in the city.
