Go joins Oriental Mindoro’s Araw ng Pasasalamat
MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Bong Go participated in the Araw ng Pasasalamat in Oriental Mindoro, which celebrated its founding anniversary through the “Mahalta Na” Festival on Sunday.
During the event, Go was honored as adopted son of the province, a distinction confirmed through Resolution 6823, which was passed by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan on Feb. 27.
After the ceremony, Go visited the municipality of Bansud to inaugurate a new Super Health Center.
The thanksgiving, held at the Balai Mindoro Event Center in Calapan City, highlighted Oriental Mindoro’s rich cultural heritage.
It was attended by 426 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan leaders, 15 mayors, 15 vice mayors, two congressmen and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
In his speech, Go spoke of his humble beginnings and appreciated the opportunity to serve. He acknowledged several1 government officials for serving the country well.
Go thanked Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian, who was also declared adopted son of the province, and Gov. Humerlito Dolor, Vice Gov. Ejay Falcon and Rep. Alfonso Umali.
He recognized local officials including mayors, vice mayors and barangay leaders for their hard work and service to their communities.
