Drug suspect slain; P5.8 million shabu, marijuana seized

MANILA, Philippines — A drug suspect was killed during a scuffle with a policeman in Bacoor City in Cavite on Thursday.

Law enforcers were about to serve an arrest warrant for Andy Sacred at his residence in Barangay Zapote 1 for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act when he reportedly threatened police with a hand grenade.

The suspect jumped out of the window and lobbed the grenade, which did not explode. 

Cpl. Carmelito Dominguez Jr. cornered Sacred, pinned him to the ground then shot him.

The incident was caught on video that went viral.

In Iloilo City, Janjan Flor, 39, was arrested for alleged possession of shabu worth P4 million in a sting in Barangay Sooc in Arevalo district.

In Bulacan on Thursday night, dried marijuana leaves worth P1.8 million were seized from eight drug suspects in Barangay Gumaoc East in San Jose del Monte City.
