MANILA, Philippines — A week after President Marcos extended his term of service, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. has imposed a reshuffle that affected three senior officials.

In an order, Acorda designated PNP Retirement and Benefits Administration Services head Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon as the new director of the Bicol police.

He will replace Brig. Gen. Westrimundo Obinque, who was promoted as acting director of the Directorate for Research and Development.

With his latest appointment, Dizon has operational control and supervision over the police units in the provinces of Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Sorsogon, Catanduanes and Masbate.

A graduate of the Philippine National Police Academy Class of 1994, Dizon previously headed the Manila Police District.

Meanwhile, Col. Leon Victor Rosete, who is assigned with the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group, was promoted as head of the PRBS.

The reshuffle will take effect on Dec. 11.
