MANILA, Philippines — A total of 15,000 persons with disabilities (PWD) in Parañaque have received early Christmas gift certificates from the city government.
Each beneficiary received P2,000 worth of gift certificates, which can be used in grocery stores, restaurants and other food establishments.
Mayor Eric Olivarez led the first day of distribution in Barangays Sto. Niño and Merville on Sunday.
“This is our little gift for our PWDs. I hope that this will be helpful for them,” Olivarez said in a Facebook post.
The gift-giving activity is an initiative of the city’s Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office.
