MANILA, Philippines — Operatives of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) in Isabela and Kalinga seized marijuana worth P17.3 million on Tuesday.
At least 100 kilos of marijuana worth P12 million were confiscated in Barangay Abut in Quezon town, PDEG director Col. Dionisio Bartolome Jr. said.
Troy Balloc, 32; August Malnag, 28; Ericson Wacnang, 25; and Jesrael Maggongoy, 18, were arrested.
Police said a 9mm handgun and magazine with 12 bullets were recovered from one of the suspects.
In Kalinga, marijuana plants worth P5.3 million were uprooted and destroyed in Barangay Butbut Proper in Tinglayan.
In Sulu, ”high-value” drug suspect Reximar Muhammad, 30, was arrested for alleged possession of shabu valued at P3.4 million in Barangay Seit Lake in Panamao town.
