MANILA, Philippines — Four of the six Chinese who were kidnapped by armed men from Ayala Alabang Village in Muntinlupa City last October are dead, the Philippine National Police (PNP) reported yesterday.

PNP public information officer Col. Jean Fajardo said two of the victims were found dead in Infanta, Quezon on Nov. 6.

The victims, who are siblings, were identified through the DNA samples provided by their mother, Fajardo said in a news briefing at Camp Crame.

“Their DNA profile matched that of their mother’s,” she said.

The remains of two other victims were dumped in Rodriguez, Rizal, Fajardo added.

The Anti-Kidnapping Group identified the victims through the clothes they wore when they were kidnapped on Oct. 30.

Fajardo said they are waiting for the results of the DNA testing for confirmation of their identities.

The two other victims remain missing.

The victims and their three Filipino companions were snatched by armed men from a house along Sampaca street at around 4 a.m.

Police said the victims were held at gunpoint, blindfolded and forced into a Toyota Hi-Ace van.

The Filipinos were released in Barangay Limao in Caluan, Laguna on the same day. They reported the kidnapping incident.

Fajardo said they have identified persons of interest in the kidnapping and murder of the victims but declined to give other details due to an ongoing investigation.
