MANILA, Philippines — More than 150,000 families in Muntinlupa City have received early Christmas packages from the local government.
Each “Pamaskong Handog” package contains packs of spaghetti and macaroni, a pack of spaghetti sauce, fresh milk, biscuits and a box of champorado.
Mayor Ruffy Biazon led the first day of distribution in Barangay Buli on Thursday.
“Our goal is to give the Christmas package to every household,” Biazon said in a Facebook post.
“We will be sharing our blessings. The city government will be sharing its resources with our people so that they can feel the spirit of Christmas,” he added.
According to the city government, every household was given a stub prior to the distribution. Residents are required to present the stub upon claiming the packages.
The city government will go around every barangay to distribute the Christmas kits.
