MANILA, Philippines — Minimum wage earners in three more regions in the country are getting an increase in their daily take-home pay, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announced yesterday.

The DOLE reported that the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards (RTWPBs) in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol and Eastern Visayas approved an increase of P30.

With the pay hike, the daily wage in Bicol will increase to P395.

The wage board also approved an order increasing the monthly salary of domestic helpers in Bicol to 5,000.

In Eastern Visayas, the minimum wage will increase to P405 for workers in the non-agricultural sector and retail or service establishments with at least 11 workers.

The salary of workers in the cottage and handicraft industries, agriculture sector and retail establishments employing 10 workers or less will increase to P375.

Domestic helpers in the region are also getting an increase of P500 in their monthly pay.

For minimum wage earners in the Cordilleras, the daily take-home pay will increase to P430.

The new rate for domestic helpers in the region will be pegged at P4,900 after the RTWPB approved an increase of P400.

The DOLE had earlier announced wage increases for workers in Zamboanga peninsula, Western Visayas, Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Soccsksargen, Central Visayas, Calabarzon and Metro Manila effective this year.

Wage hike hearings in Northern Mindanao and Caraga are ongoing.
