ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — A woman suffering from mental illness allegedly hacked dead her 12-year-old grandson in Lamitan, Basilan on Friday.
The body of the victim was found hogtied by his family and village officials in a coconut farm in Barangay Bohe Sapa, according to Lt. Col. Arlan Delumpines, Lamitan City police chief.
The victim bore multiple hack wounds from head to toe, police said.
Village chairman Jojo Manuel arrested the suspect and turned her over to the police.
The woman told police that the boy “transformed” into her enemy, forcing her to kill him.
