Chinese woman escapes from captors

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A Chinese woman who was reportedly kidnapped by her compatriots in Pasay City on Monday escaped from her captors in Biñan City, Laguna yesterday.

The suspects were arrested in a follow-up operation at a subdivision in Barangay Tubigan, according to Lt. Col. Chitadel Gaoiran, Calabarzon police spokesperson.

They were identified as Dennis Tan, Bin Yang and a certain Shi Zhen Hui. The suspects reportedly yielded a caliber .22 revolver and bullets.

Col. Harold Depositar, Laguna police director, said the  victim was held for four days in Barangay Tubigan.

The victim told probers her captors asked for P1 million and a BMW car in exchange for her release.

She said she managed to escape while the kidnappers were sleeping and sought the help of residents at the subdivision.
