MANILA, Philippines — The low-pressure area (LPA) monitored off Isabela will continue to bring rains over parts of the country today, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

State weather forecasters said the LPA, which was monitored over Dinapigue town at 3 p.m. yesterday, could dissipate last night.

PAGASA said a shear line is affecting the eastern sections of Northern Luzon and Central Luzon.

The LPA and shear line will bring scattered rains over Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quirino, Bulacan, Oriental Mindoro and Marinduque.

Meanwhile, cloudy skies with rains are forecast over Ilocos, Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley and the rest of Central Luzon due to the northeast monsoon or amihan.

Localized thunderstorms will bring isolated rains over the rest of the country.

PAGASA warned the public of flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rainfall.
