SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Philippines — More than 1,500 toll and system personnel will be deployed along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) to ensure patrol visibility and toll plaza assistance from Oct. 27 to Nov. 6.

The traffic management measures are in anticipation of the increase in the volume of vehicles during the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections as well as All Souls’ Day and All Saints’ Day.

The measures are also part of the “Safe Trip Mo Sagot Ko” motorist assistance program of the Metro Pacific Tollways Corp.

NLEX Corp. president J. Luigi Bautista said a surge of motorists going north is expected by tomorrow afternoon until Saturday, and then on Monday morning and Wednesday.

Travelers are expected to return to Manila from Nov. 5 to 6.

”With the huge volume of vehicles, NLEX is on high alert to ensure that we address every motorist’s needs immediately,” Bautista said.

Motorists were advised to plan their trips during non-peak hours to avoid being caught in traffic jams.

The NLEX management reminds motorists to check their vehicles before traveling and ensure that they are fit to drive to avoid any untoward incident.

Motorists may contact NLEX Corp. through its social media platforms or customer service hotline 1-35000.
