BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — A police officer died after his motorcycle collided with a van in Pontevedra, Negros Occidental yesterday morning.
Pat. Reden Agus, 31, of the Iloilo City police was declared dead on arrival at the Valladolid District Hospital, according to the Negros Occidental police.
Agus was part of the police contingent dispatched to secure the MassKara Festival in this city last week.
He was traveling along the highway in Barangay San Juan when he crashed into a Mitsubishi canter driven by Sonny Elet, probers said.
