MANILA, Philippines — A man was arrested after he accepted a package, which contained 428 grams of cocaine worth P2.26 million, during a controlled-delivery operation in Tanay, Rizal on Friday, the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group reported yesterday.
The illegal drugs were placed in a water purifier that Edwin Pindos, 51, accepted at his residence in Barangay Isidro.
In Zambales, anti-narcotics officers confiscated 140 grams of shabu worth P1.36 million from Jhonnuel Dagnal, 36, in a sting in Castillejos town at 6:30 a.m. yesterday.
In Rizal, around 100 grams of shabu valued at P680,000 were seized from an alias Ron-Ron and an alias Sophia in Barangay San Rafael in Rodriquez, Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas, Calabarzon police director, said.
Lucas said a caliber .38 revolver, ammunition and marked money were confiscated from the suspects.
