MANILA, Philippines — Six people accused of stealing P65,000 worth of construction materials were arrested in Quezon City on Friday.

The suspects were Wilfredo Datalio, 42; Dexter Bation, 29; Zaldy Pajanusta, 36; Rommel Camprecio, 32; Jason Carabana, 45, and Jerome Obal, 22, employees of Optimum Prime Industrial Sales Corp.

The suspects reportedly stole 13 boxes of assorted construction materials from the company’s warehouse in Barangay Bungad at around 9 a.m., Quezon City Police District director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan reported.

The suspects were about to leave with their loot placed in a delivery truck when they were stopped by a security guard and a checker who witnessed the theft.

They were turned over to the police and face complaints of qualified theft before the city prosecutor’s office.
