COTABATO CITY, Philippines — A man and his daughter died of electrocution in Carmen town in Cotabato province on Tuesday.

Alvin Morillo, 50, and his daughter Jenny, 18, were removing clothes on a metal clothesline when it was hit by a live wire from a nearby post of the Cotabato Electric Cooperative, which fell amid strong winds and heavy rainfall.

The victims died at the scene.

Carmen Mayor Rogelio Taliño said the municipal government would provide assistance to the family of the victims.
