MANILA, Philippines — Thirteen out of 20 barangays in Las Piñas City recorded zero crime incidents, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said yesterday.
Las Piñas police chief Col. Jaime Santos reported that 13 barangays in the city recorded zero crime from Oct. 8 to 14.
Among the barangays in the list were Almanza Uno, Daniel Fajardo, Elias Aldana, Ilaya, Manuyo Uno, Pamplona Uno, Dos and Tres, Talon Uno, Dos, Tres and Kuatro and Zapote.
Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the zero crime rate is proof of the local administration’s strong dedication to providing a secure and safe community to its residents.
Last August, Las Piñas was declared the “safest city” in southern Metro Manila for the second consecutive year.
According to the Southern Police District, the award is given to the city that yielded the lowest crime volume.
