10 injured in Quezon road mishap
MANILA, Philippines — Ten people were injured when their van fell into a ravine in Infanta, Quezon on Sunday.
The victims were taken to the Claro M. Recto Memorial District Hospital for treatment of injuries.
Nine of the victims were identified as Abigail, Alexandra Nicole, Jeremiah and RR, all surnamed Atienza; Emil Aranal; David and Aaron Matthew, both surnamed Brazil; Sheryl Ibay and Kevin Saberon.
The van, driven by Ezekiel Atienza, was traveling in Barangay Magsaysay when it figured in the accident at around 1 a.m.
The victims were headed to a picnic site in the town proper.
Meanwhile, in Sultan Kudarat, six persons were injured when their truck rolled over in Isulan town yesterday morning.
The victims, whose identities were not immediately available, were rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Reports said the driver lost control of the wheel as the truck was traveling along the highway in Barangay Kolambog.
