MANILA, Philippines — Four family members died in a fire that broke out at a residential area in Taguig City at dawn yesterday, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

The fatalities were Emelita, 47, Al Nassar, 47, Hanna, 13, and Janna, all surnamed Entuna.

Fire Senior Inspector Demetrio Sablan Jr. said the blaze started at the victims’ house on Gumamela street, Barangay Western Bicutan at around 3:54 a.m.

The BFP said the fire reached first alarm before it was declared under control at around 4:37 a.m.

Damage to property was placed at P200,000.

Arson investigators said they have yet to determine what caused the fire.
