Students nabbed for marijuana

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Two kilos of dried marijuana bricks with an estimated street value of P240,000 were seized from two students in Tuguegarao, Cagayan on Sunday.

Police did not reveal the names of the students, who were collared during a sting along Maribbay street in Barangay Ugac Norte.

The suspects told police that the marijuana came from Tabuk in Kalinga.

Aside from marijuana, police said they seized from the suspects a sling bag, backpack, phones, marked money and a motorcycle.

Charges of violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects, police said.
