3 farmers dead in Lanao Norte shooting

COTABATO CITY, Philippines – Three persons were killed in a gun attack in a secluded barangay in Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte on Tuesday.

Maj. Joe Mark Capitle, Kauswagan police chief, identified the fatalities as Mark Manlangit, his brother Mike and Undon Alfante.

Citing initial investigation, Capitle said Alfante was working in an orchard farm in Barangay Inudaran when the gunmen arrived, opened fire and finished off the victim with more shots to the head.

The Manlangit brothers, who arrived at the scene to check when they heard the gunfire were also shot.

An investigation is ongoing.
