Reward up for Western Visayas NPA leaders’ arrest

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — A reward of more than P11 million has been offered for information leading to the arrest of the remaining New People’s Army (NPA) leaders in Western Visayas.

Lt. Col. J Jay Javines, 3rd Infantry Division civil-military operations officer, said a reward of P5.3 million is up for the arrest of Ma. Concepcion Bocala, first deputy secretary of the NPA’s Komiteng Rehiyon-Panay; Roberto Cabales, Panay Central Front committee secretary, P3.1 million, and Roberto Gomia of Panay Southern Front, P1.05 million.

A bounty of P550,000 each has been put up for communist leaders Arlo Vargas, Magno Flores, Nahum Camariosa and Severino Geonago.

Military records show that the communist insurgents have pending warrants for robbery, frustrated murder, damage to property, arson and serious physical injuries.

The 3rd ID urged the public to provide any information leading to the arrest of the rebels to the nearest military or police station or through its hotline  0927-6239321 or its Facebook page, Philippine Army Spearhead Troopers.
