Rudy Santos - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has intercepted an Indian man wanted for rape at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.

Jacob Manoj Paul Chempalakunnil, 50, was about to board a flight to Singapore when he was arrested by BI officers.

Chempalakunnil is in the BI’s database of people with criminal records, the agency said.

A Quezon City court has issued a warrant for his arrest on charges of rape, with no bail recommended.

Chempalakunnil was turned over to the National Bureau of Investigation.
