Indian nabbed for rape at NAIA
MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has intercepted an Indian man wanted for rape at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.
Jacob Manoj Paul Chempalakunnil, 50, was about to board a flight to Singapore when he was arrested by BI officers.
Chempalakunnil is in the BI’s database of people with criminal records, the agency said.
A Quezon City court has issued a warrant for his arrest on charges of rape, with no bail recommended.
Chempalakunnil was turned over to the National Bureau of Investigation.
