MANILA, Philippines — Police are investigating another road rage incident in Metro Manila wherein the driver of a sport utility vehicle (SUV) threatened another motorist with a handgun.

The incident, which happened in Barangay Bignay in Valenzuela City on Aug. 19, involved the drivers of a Toyota Fortuner and a taxicab.

Lawyer Raymond Fortun shared a video clip of the incident on his Facebook page on Tuesday night.

Sought for comment, Northern Police District (NPD) director Brig. Gen. Rizalito Gapas said yesterday he has ordered a probe of the incident.

“The investigation is ongoing,” Gapas said in Filipino in a text message.

In the video, the SUV motorist was seen cocking his firearm as he confronted the taxi driver.

The suspect then pushed the victim, boarded the SUV and left the scene.

Fortun has urged the Land Transportation Office to look into the incident involving the driver of the vehicle with license plate NBB 3135.

The lawyer said the taxi driver has not reached out to him for assistance.

“I will not represent him. There are other equally good and upstanding lawyers who are willing to do what is best for the country,” Fortun said in a text message.

It was Fortun who revealed a gun-toting incident involving dismissed policeman Wilfredo Gonzales and a cyclist in Quezon City, which also happened last month.

After a video of the incident went viral on social media platforms, Gonzales was pilloried by the public.
