ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — A member of the Army’s CAFGU Active Auxiliary was arrested for keeping loose firearms, during a search operation conducted by the police in R.T Lim town, Zamboanga Sibugay on Saturday.

The search on the property of Jover Ceniza, 50, in Barangay Ali Alsree was based on a warrant issued by a local court, according to Maj. Shelamie Chang, chief of the Zamboanga peninsula police information office.

Agents of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and local police officers served the warrant on Ceniza following a surveillance for possible violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

Chang said the raiding team found three pistols, two rifles and assorted ammunition at Ceniza’s property.

Ceniza was brought to the CIDG headquarters for documentation and filing of appropriate charges.
