MANILA, Philippines — American companies are looking to invest or expand their existing companies in Baguio City, US Ambassador Mary Kay Carlson said yesterday.
In her speech at the celebration of the city’s 114th Charter Day, Carlson said “numerous cutting-edge American companies see Baguio as a place to invest for the future.”
“Baguio is also home to US companies in the growing business process management sector, such as Sitel, Convergys and SynerG. These companies are just part of the flourishing US-Philippine economic partnership, which is central to a more prosperous future for both of our countries,” she said.
Carlson said the US is also proud to partner with Baguio City through educational linkages, citing the University of the Cordilleras and University of Cincinnati, which are jointly developing programs on cybersecurity.
