MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has declared special non-working holidays in four towns in Luzon and Mindanao.

The holidays were declared through proclamations signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin by the authority of President Marcos this month.

Proclamation No. 309 declared Sept. 12 a special non-working day in Hingyon, Ifugao to allow residents to celebrate the town’s founding anniversary.

A similar holiday based on Proclamation No. 310 was declared in Victoria, Oriental Mindoro, which will be celebrating its 70th founding anniversary on Sept. 18.

Malacañang also issued Proclamation No. 311 declaring Sept. 18 a special non-working day in Bansalan, Davao del Sur, which will commemorate its 71st founding anniversary.

Also signed was Proclamation No. 312, which declared Sept. 13 a special non-working day in Claver, Surigao del Norte. The town was created through Executive Order 126, which was approved on Sept. 13, 1955.
