P14.7 million shabu seized in Quezon province, Bacolod

MANILA, Philippines — A pack of shabu with an estimated street value of P10.4 million was found in the toilet of a fastfood restaurant in Candelaria, Quezon on Thursday night.

A service crew of the restaurant discovered the illegal drugs while cleaning the toilet, Col. Ledon Monte, Quezon police director, said.

Monte said the suspects could have left the illegal drugs when a group of policemen came to eat in the restaurant.

In Bacolod, “high-value” target Michael Frias was arrested in Barangay Vista Alegre.

Capt. Joven Mogato, Bacolod police drug enforcement unit head, said the suspect yielded more than two kilos of shabu worth P14.3 million. — Ed Amoroso, Gilbert Bayoran
