Man hurt in fall from footbridge

MANILA, Philippines — A 28-year-old man was injured after he fell from a footbridge in Quezon City on Thursday.

Justine Paul Gallano, 28, an employee of a private company, fell from a footbridge at Welcome Rotonda in Barangay Doña Josefa at around 11:38 a.m., according to police investigators.

Barangay public safety officers who were informed of the incident by witnesses brought Gallano to the Philippine Orthopedic Center.

The victim was later transferred to St. Luke’s Medical Center for further treatment.

Probers are verifying the statements of witnesses that Gallano jumped from the footbridge.
