Go opens Super Health Center in Caloocan
MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Bong Go attended on Wednesday the groundbreaking of the Super Health Center in Barangay 28, Caloocan City.
“Rest assured I will prioritize pro-poor programs... Let’s make medical services accessible to those who need it,” Go said.
The establishment of Super Health Centers is one of Go’s initiatives, in collaboration with the Department of Health and local government units, aimed at strengthening the healthcare system by making medical services accessible nationwide.
The Super Health Center offers basic health services, including database management, out-patient services, birthing, isolation, X-ray, ultrasound, pharmacy and ambulatory surgical unit. Other available services are physical therapy, rehabilitation centers and telemedicine.
Funds have been allocated for 307 Super Health Centers in 2022.
Health Secretary Ted Herbosa also attended the event.
After the groundbreaking ceremony, Caloocan District 2 Rep. Mitch Cajayon-Uy, Councilors Ed Aruelo and Wewel de Leon assisted Go in distributing rice packs, vitamins, masks, shirts and meals to 980 residents.
Department of Social Welfare and Development personnel also extended financial aid through its Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation program.
