Man, 69, wanted for rape falls

LAGUNA, Philippines — A 69-year-old man wanted for rape in Camarines Norte was arrested in San Pablo City in this province on Monday.

Identified only as Lolo Deng, the suspect did not resist when cornered at his residence in Barangay San Jose, Col. Harold Depositar, Laguna police director, said.

The Camarines Norte Regional Trial Court Branch 64 in Labo town issued the arrest warrant dated June 5.

Depositar said the suspect was ranked second on the list of most wanted persons in Calabarzon.

The arrest followed a directive of the Calabarzon police to all chiefs of police in the region to intensify their manhunt for wanted persons.
