Man attacks cop, is shot dead

CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan, Philippines — A policewoman shot dead a man who allegedly assaulted her and burned her restaurant in San Jose del Monte City in this province on Sunday.

Marcial Tinguha died at the scene of the incident that occurred in Barangay Narra, according to Col. Relly Arnedo, Bulacan police director.

Senior M/Sgt. Jacklyn Fraulen Salboro surrendered to the city police station.

Probers said Tinguha went to the Charcoal’s Tambayan and Musikahan, which is owned by Salboro, to ask money from his wife who works in the establishment.

Tinguha reportedly beat up his wife after she refused to give him money.

The woman sought the help of Salboro, who was at her house located at the back of the restaurant.

Tinguha reportedly set the restaurant on fire before running after his wife.

He reportedly tried to stab Salboro, prompting the policewoman to shoot him.
