Woman, son hurt in Valenzuela fire
MANILA, Philippines — A woman and her son were injured in a fire that broke out in Valenzuela City before dawn yesterday.
Maria Fe Magno and her son Niño were rushed to East Avenue Medical Center after she sustained second to third-degree burns while he suffered cuts, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
The fire that razed around 12 houses in Abalos Bukid area in Barangay Gen. Tiburcio de Leon could have started in their house, according to earlier reports.
The blaze started at around 3:46 a.m. and reached third alarm 10 minutes later, the BFP reported.
The fire was put out just before 5 a.m., the BFP said. Probers have yet to release an estimate of the property damage caused by the fire.
