2 PNPA cadets dismissed
MANILA, Philippines — Two cadets of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) were dismissed on Friday for violating the Honor Code.
The Honor Code implores PNPA cadets not to lie, cheat or steal and tolerate those who commit such offenses.
PNPA director Maj. Gen. Eric Noble said the academy took decisive action against the two, a second class and a third class cadet, who were found lying and stealing, respectively.
The honor committee slapped the cadets with the stiffest penalty of expulsion after examining all relevant pieces of evidence.
“This stern response reinforces the institution’s commitment to upholding the honor code and maintaining the integrity of its cadetship,” Noble said.
“While the dismissal is undoubtedly a severe consequence, it underscores the academy’s unshakable stance against any transgression that compromise the principles it stands for,” he said.
Nine cadets have so far been dismissed from the PNPA this year for grave offenses and academic deficiencies.
Noble vowed to weed out cadets who will continue to tarnish the PNPA’s reputation, ensuring that only the most deserving graduates will assume roles in government service.
