MANILA, Philippines — A vehicle was found burning in the middle of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) in Mandaluyong City, prompting fire fighters to respond to the incident near an MRT-3 station.
"Burning Car near Boni Station, Northbound EDSA. MRT-3 has reported incident to [Metropolitan Manila Development Authority], SSU and CC. Smoke is coming inside the Concourse Area," according to assistant secretary for railways and MRT-3 officer-in-charge Jorjette Aquino on Saturday.
"MMDA fire truck on the way. Station supervisor is prepared for emergency situation. Normal passenger flow at Boni Station."

Fireout was declared at around 12:47 p.m. after officials from the Bureau of Fire Protection arrived.
According to the MMDA, the area was cleared at around 2:14 p.m. after being assisted by local firefighters.
The Department of Transportation, MRT-3 and MMDA still couldn't pinpoint the cause of the vehicular fire.
EDSA Kalayaan to Boni Northbound is reportedly moderate to slow moving after the incident.
