Miner arrested for killing mom-in-law
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – A miner was arrested for allegedly killing his mother-in-law and dumping her body into a mine pit in Buenavista, Quezon on Wednesday afternoon.
Demar Abrincillo, 38, did not resist when cornered by police operatives in Barangay Cadlit, Capt. Christopher Reaño, Buenavista police chief, said.
Abrincillo reportedly admitted the crime to his godfather Ramil Nota, who reported the incident to the police.
Reaño said the victim, Anastacia Buenabe, 50, failed to return home after feeding her animals in Sitio Mangga on Monday.
”The suspect and his mother-in-law had an argument about his... relationship with his wife Aileen,” Reaño said.
Municipal health officer Charmaine Babiera said the victim died from strangulation. – Michelle Zoleta
