Muntinlupa sets viewing of Biazon’s remains today

Emmanuel Tupas - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Residents of Muntinlupa City will have the opportunity today to bid farewell to former senator, congressman and military chief Rodolfo Biazon.

The city government has set the public viewing of Biazon’s remains at the city hall from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The local government said public viewing will be temporarily suspended from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to give way to a mass and necrological service.

To accommodate more people, parking of vehicles is not allowed at the city hall quadrangle, the city government said in an advisory.

By tomorrow, Biazon’s remains will be brought to the Senate for a mass and necrological service. His body will then be brought to the Philippine Marines headquarters in Taguig for another public viewing.

Biazon will be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani on June 20.

The 88-year-old Biazon died on June 12 after a bout with lung cancer.
