Las Piñas to enforce single ticket system

MANILA, Philippines — The city government of Las Piñas will implement the single ticketing system for traffic violations in Metro Manila starting June 19.

In a statement posted on its Facebook page, the city government said it will update its fines and penalties for traffic infractions under the 2023 Metro Manila Traffic Code.

“This unified approach aims to streamline traffic enforcement and ensure consistency in penalties throughout the region,” it said.

The city government reminded the public the traffic rules and regulations were put in place to ensure the safety of everyone on the road.

“Let us all cooperate and abide by these guidelines to maintain order and promote a secure environment for motorists and pedestrians alike,” the city government said.

Violators may redeem their ordinance violation receipt at the traffic and parking management office along J. Aguilar Avenue within 10 working days upon issuance of the ticket.

A penalty of five percent will be imposed daily beyond the deadline.

Online payment is still unavailable as the local government is still coordinating with payment channels.

Last May 2, the single ticket system was piloted in seven cities in Metro Manila: Manila, Parañaque, Caloocan, Quezon City, San Juan, Muntinlupa and Valenzuela.

The system would be implemented throughout the metropolis and later nationwide, officials earlier declared.

The 2023 Metro Manila Traffic Code lists uniform fines, contesting procedures and digital payment platforms for the 20 most common traffic violations.
