MANILA, Philippines — The Pasay City government relaunched on Thursday its barangay labor desks to bring job opportunities closer to its constituents.
Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano led the program at the Cuneta Astromode on Wednesday. She said the program, which was halted during the COVID-19 pandemic, will give Pasay residents more opportunities to find jobs.
Residents of the city’s 201 barangays can go to their respective barangay halls where they can fill out forms, which will be submitted to the Public Employment Service Office.
Calixto-Rubiano said among those needed by companies are drivers and those with a background in information technology.
