P12.2 million shabu intercepted at Clark port

San Fernando, Pampanga,Philippines — A consignee of more than a kilo of shabu with an estimated street value of P12.24 million was arrested in a controlled delivery operation  on Thursday.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Luzon office said Joel  Reyes was apprehended after receiving the parcel in Barangay Highway Hills in Mandaluyong City.

PDEA said the illegal drugs originated from San Jose, California and arrived at the Port of Clark on Tuesday.

In Maguindanao del Norte, shabu worth P680,000 was reportedly seized from Nasser Amal Abdul and Saida Sunil Nguya.

The suspects were arrested in a sting in Datu Odin Sinsuat town, PDEA-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao director said. —  Ric Sapnu, John Unson
