P1 million reward up for Negros rebel leader’s arrest
BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — A reward of P1 million has been offered for information leading to the arrest of a suspected New People’s Army leader in Negros Occidental.
Roger Fabillar and his comrades were tagged in the killings of civilians, whom they suspect to be military informants, and barangay officials in Calatrava and Toboso towns.
Lt. Col. J-jay Javines, 79th Infantry Battalion commander, said anyone with information on the whereabouts of Fabillar may contact the 79th IB through cell phone numbers 0963-873-9989 and 0927-339-2481.
Fabillar is with the NPA’s Northern Negros Front of Komiteng Rehiyonal Negros/Cebu/Bohol/Siquijor.
The Armed Forces of the Philippines Visayas Command said the communist movement in Western Visayas is suffering from a leadership crisis following the deaths of its leaders Rogelio Posadas and Romeo Nanta in recent military operations.
