Cebu Pacific resumes flights from Clark
MANILA, Philippines — Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific has resumed its operations from the Clark International Airport.
Cebu Pacific yesterday reinstated its flights from Clark to Bacolod, Caticlan, Davao and Bangkok in line with its strategy to reopen pre-pandemic routes.
Cebu Pacific said it would also resume flights from Clark to Iloilo, General Santos City, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Taipei this month.
Flights from Clark to Incheon will be relaunched on May 5, to Cagayan de Oro on May 6, to Narita on May 21 and Puerto Princesa on June 24.
Cebu Pacific said it would add flights from Clark to Caticlan, Davao, Hong Kong and Cebu until June to serve the growing demand for air travel in the routes.
The budget carrier said it can reach 15 destinations from Clark.
Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer Xander Lao said the reopening of Clark as a hub provides passengers with an additional 10,000 seats every month.
He said flights from Clark are 30 percent lower compared to the pre-pandemic average for both domestic and international trips.
Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco said increased connectivity through Clark would ”further solidify its position as a premier tourism hub in Central Luzon.”
“This initiative will attract more investors to find business opportunities in the area, which will translate to additional jobs for the locals,” Frasco said.
