MANILA, Philippines — Up to 294 people have been  arrested by operatives of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) during the conduct of “One Time, Big Time” operations against all forms of crime.

QCPD director Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III said the citywide anti-crime drive, which was conducted from April 10 to 16, includes the implementation of search warrants, stings and other special police interventions.

Torre said 96 drug suspects – 50 pushers and 46 users – were nabbed in 53 anti-narcotics operations in Quezon City.

The operations yielded 639.3 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu and 104 grams of marijuana worth P4.35 million.

A total of 68 wanted persons were apprehended during the same period.

Thirty-six operations against illegal gambling were conducted, which resulted in the arrest of 112 people and confiscation of P14,210 in bet money.
