Guard dies in Ilocos road mishap

LAOAG CITY, Philippines — A security guard died after his motorcycle crashed into a truck in Marcos town, Ilocos Norte yesterday.

Arthur Agliday, 34, reportedly tried to overtake, causing him to slam into the truck parked along the highway in Barangay Valdez.

Agliday was declared dead on arrival at the Doña Josefa Edralin Marcos District Hospital due to severe head and body injuries, probers said.

Truck driver Rafael Sarandi, 48, was taken to the police station for questioning.
