MANILA, Philippines — A man was caught with P11.9 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu in a sting in Quiapo, Manila on Thursday.
Salahudin Ibra Baumal, 26, reportedly sold P36,000 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer at an apartment building along Quezon Boulevard at around 2:50 a.m., according to a report of the Manila Police District’s Barbosa station.
Police confiscated 1.75 kilos of shabu in a backpack and a digital weighing scale from Baumal, alias “Kulot,” during his arrest.
Baumal faces charges of possession and sale of illegal drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. — Mark Ernest Villeza
