LRT, MRT to suspend operations for Holy Week

MANILA, Philippines — The Light Rail Transit (LRT) Lines 1 and 2 and the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) will suspend operations during Holy Week to allow for their annual maintenance and system upgrades from April 6 to 9.

A statement released by the Light Rail Manila Corp. said the LRT-1 will follow normal operating hours from April 3 to 5, with the first trips at 4:30 a.m. and the last trips at 10 p.m. from its Baclaran station and 10:15 p.m. from its Roosevelt station.

The LRT-2 will follow the same schedule as LRT-1, but the last trips will be until 7 p.m. on April 5 from Antipolo to Recto and vice versa.

The three rail lines will resume operations at 5 a.m. on April 10.
