Senior citizen nabbed in Malabon drug sting

MANILA, Philippines — Two persons, including a senior citizen, were arrested during an anti-narcotics operation in Barangay Longos, Malabon City on Friday night.

Elise Torres, 61, and Merlinda Centones, 57, were nabbed by operatives of the Malabon police Drug Enforcement Unit.

The suspects allegedly yielded over 15 grams of shabu valued at P104,040 and the marked money.

The suspects are being held on charges of violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
