MANILA, Philippines — An elderly man was killed by an unidentified assailant in Barangay Baritan, Malabon yesterday morning.
Reynold Zuñiga, 68, of Sampaloc, Manila, died at the scene from five gunshots to the body, according to a police report.
The suspect, whom probers have yet to identify, was recorded on closed-circuit television footage pretending to be limping before firing at the victim along Borja street at around 5 a.m.
Police ruled out robbery as the motive since the victim’s cash, including dollar bills, were recovered intact.
Malabon police chief Albert Daro said a probe is ongoing to identify the shooter and determine his motive for the attack.
